Trauma is the crux of so many health issues . If dealt with properly can be life changing for someone suffering. Unfortunately there isnt a cookie cutter one size fits all remedy. Im reading a book titled What Happened to You ? And they offer an idea that is helpful . When faced with a person acting out instead of judging them the book suggests you to ask the question I wonder what happened to ……? instead of making assumptions or judgements. It changes the whole feeling of the incident or interaction. Ive been applying it in my own situations and am finding it useful. Theres so much more to the book about what happens to the brain following trauma.

To me it seems like he can feel the weight of what you are thinking and is distraught because of that. Like he’s able to recognize the trauma you went through.

I think animals are also family and it's good to take into account how they may feel as well.
